It great double walls and almost state-like size have been a bastion for people in times of war, and have held up an impressive defence record. The city is less of a caste system as before, but the walls of Ba Sing Se still stand, and the divide is still clear between the Lower and the Upper Ring. The Earth King is still based in the royal palace at the center of the city.

Fire Lord Kouzai  | | Once a city ruled by the great King Bumi, it has seen become a seat of unstable monarchies and dynasties. Kings rarely last more than a few years, and dynasties no more than two generations. It has served as both a seat of power for members of the Peng Family who do not rule the Earth Kingdom, and as a place for favoured nobles to hold some power. Though ruled by a King, Omashu is subservient to Ba Sing Se, which rules the entirety of the Earth Kingdom.

Lu Meleng |  | Gaoling is a large town located within a mountain range in the southern Earth Kingdom. An old and well-established town, Gaoling has a broad spectrum of citizens residing in it, ranging from the very rich to the very poor.
