Exploring the Cave

Sojun had his eyes closed while he leaned n the gate so the girl's voice caught him by surprise. So he wasn't the only firebender on this mission that was almost a relief. Sojun looked at the girl, she was the one he had seen in the hall earlier. "Amaya, huh? I'm Sojun. Sorry, the guy in there sounded like I would be the only firebender going along." Sojun looked at the girl who was eyeballing him now. "A weapons specialist. Well I guess the only thing I specialize in is firebending...there is that lightning bending I can do though too," Sojun added now almost talking to himself rather than the girl. Sojun sighed as he refocused on Amaya, "i'm Sojun by the way," Sojun added with a small smile. His expression changed a bit when he noticed the earthbending members starring at him. "Do I have something on my face?" he mumbled sarcastically.

Amaya grinned," No, you dont have anything on your face, I guess they are just suprised that two firebenders are here, though im not very loyal to the nation. Im not expirenced in bending that much, but i do what i can." She smiled and tightned her belt which held her swords against her hips.
" This is going to be fun, hopefully i get to spill some blood, its been a couple of hours."

Ren signed the form he was presented with and walked outside. As he walked through the door he saw the team. "I am not going to enjoy this." He felt a hand touch his should and turned around quickly. A gaurd handed him a bag and said "Here your pay for the mission." Ren grabbed the bag and thanked the soldier.

"They really shouldn't pay people upfront" he thought. He considered leaving quickly, but decided to stay because he promised himself to never go back on his word. He saw Sojun talking to someone. He walked over to them. He took out the blades from his leg strap and released his arm bands blade. He began to sharpen each blade and sat down.

He looked up at the girl Sojun was talking to and said "Hi, i'm Ren." He looked over at Sojun and then back at his blades. "So what do you two think will be in the cave?" He was anxious to find out since his work had been pretty slow. He may have been young, but he was great at what he did.

Sojun nodded at Amaya's explanation about the guards curious looks and continued to listen to her words. Sojun never took a liking to weapons very much. He always felt that if he needed to harm anyone or anything, his bending should be the tool to administer the power, not a weapon, but that was his beliefs so it was alright for someone to think otherwise. Amaya also mentioned that she hoped that she would be able to spill blood. Again, not something Sojun did much. He's killed before but only because he didn't want to die himself or he didn't want others to. Sojun then thought about his dragon Kuzu, wondering if he was alright.

Just then Sojun noticed Ren coming towards them, he introduced himself to Amaya and began to sharpen his blades. Apparently he was used to this sorta thing as well. "Honestly, I think its a pack of rapid animals that just moved in...but from the description I've heard I'm not too sure myself," Sojun answered. Sojun opened his hand and in the center of his palm he created a small ball of fire that grew and shrunk with every breath he took, breathing along with him. This was his way of preparing himself, to make sure his fire was steady and in sync with himself. The fire turned from red to blue and faintly back to red. "Can't quite make blue permanent yet," he thought out loud. Some soliders saw this so Sojun blew it out by closing his hand.

"To be honest...I just hope that working with this captain and his men don't slow me down," Sojun admitted to the two armed allies.

Ren looked at Sojun as he admitted his thoughts about the captain and smirked. "Well, since they're paying us does it really matter how long the mission takes?" He said calmly. He stood up and put the smaller blades back in his leg strap and retracted his arm strap's blade.

Ren wasn't sure if the captain could be trusted. He thought that it was strange that he''d rather go with a group of hired help then stay and protect his home and loved ones. He thought the same thing about the soldiers. "I wonder what they're up to?" He thought to himself.

Ren put his hands together and created a shadow fly. He whispered into his hands and sent it off. "Hey Sojun see that fly. It's gonna go spy on the captain and his men. If they try to do anything i'll know." he said quietly. He smirked and said "Is there anyone else you want to spy on?" He stood next to Sojun and looked at the girl with the red hair. "What about you? Anyone you want to spy on?"

OOC: Looks like everyone who is planning to write has shown up, so I'll move things along tomorrow.
