The sun beat down onto Charlie Oshiro's back as he climbed the rugged volcano. His ears popped as he adjusted to the elevation, and the koala sheep he was carrying under his arm looked around everywhere, taking in the sights. A dragon hawk glided over his head, offering very little breeze.
Finally, they made it to the capitol. Vermilion City was beautiful, and it almost disgusted Charlie. He hated nobility. He wasn't poor, but he knew the struggles of starving well enough. He was wearing rags that were torn and dirty with a backpack slung over his shoulders. He looked homeless, and although he had a decent amount of money, he hated spending it, and preferred to steal food instead. His eyes drifted up to the palace. Charlie made an involuntary twitch. His eyes grew wide, and he knew exactly what he wanted to do. He wanted gold.
Charlie scurried to the palace. Quickly, he heated the glass of one of the windows. It appeared to be high quality, and the fire-bender struggled to get it to budge. Distraught, he walked around the castle. There was a small trace of sulfur in the air, presumably left over from the dormant volcano. Charlie narrowed his eyes in concentration and created an explosion, using the sulfur to strengthen it. BOOM!
The explosion blew him off of his feet, but only created rubble. After creating another explosion, the wall finally gave way, creating a hole. Charlie smirked as he crawled through and into the palace.
