| Claudia nodded and held onto the mast tightly, "Hold on," she said firmly. With a firm grip, she watched as the boat neared land and begin to sink. Lower, lower, lower, closer, closer, closer. Finally, the boat lurched as it hit the sand bar, and then again, and again, and finally it beached itself, and it skidded to a halt. Claudia fell forward and off of the crows nest, luckily she managed to grab part of the rigging before she fell. She looked down at the deck below her, and then above to Sedikit, and when she was sure Sedikit was safe, Claudia let go of the rigging. She landed with bent knees on the deck, and a loud thud reverberated across the open land. Claudia ran over to the bow, and could see the peaking towers of the castle, "We're home," she said, "You can head off to bed when we get back, I need to speak with the Mentor." | |
