Hair: Onao has medium height brown hair that is just below his ears. He has long strands of hair down both the sides of his head covering his sideburns and then one a long piece of hair going down the front. He keeps it at this perfect length most of the time, but does shave it when necessary. Most of the time he is seen wearing the official crown of the Earth King or a different style hat when traveling or around the palace so his hair tends to be covered up with a few strands showing. At official events like treaty signing or meeting fellow leaders he wears his hair in the traditional top-knot.
Eyes: He has an Asian set of light green eyes. Those are the only parts of Onao that appear welcoming and comforting. Despite his stern nature his eyes are where people can look for his real emotions. His eyes can also give him away at certain times, but one will have to stare intently to figure certain things out.

Clothes: He wears the generic Earth King clothes of the generic colors of green and yellow. Most of the time he wears a simple yellow shirt with a slight design starting at the collar and going down like a sash to his right armpit. He wears a small green cape that fastens by a clasp with old Earth Kingdom designs. His necklaces changes from time to time due to the occasion or if he is just wondering about the palace. His pants are a dark green color and he usually wears sandals or goes barefoot. When traveling he wears darker colors, but still green and yellow, sometimes he wears brown. When going to certain kingdoms he tends to wear one of their colors like if going to the Fire Nation he will wear some form of red on his person. On his ring finger he wears a ring in the shape of the Earth Kingdom which was made by Lu Peng, an ancestor of his.
Skin: His skin is like most of the nobles of his kingdom and tends to be lighter than most of the other people in his kingdom. His skin is smooth and free of any scars or blemishes. His skin is lighter because he spends most of his time inside the palace and the only chance he gets to go outside is walking in the gardens around the Royal Palace Tea House or visiting another nation.

Personality: Onao has a personality formed by years of study. He spent most of his childhood in Dara's Library with the spirit himself. There his knowledge of history, cultures, distant lands, and his kingdom’s history was learned and was able to use the earth bending scrolls to learn bending. He is a very determined man who likes to get problems solved through logical means and reasoning. Onao is a very logical thinker; he usually thinks two steps ahead of any opponent and uses this to his advantage. As a leader he likes to put his nation on a pedestal glorifying it for the great nation he is. In matters of foreign and internal affairs he is unpersuasive and only has advisors because it is in the laws. He can be very stern when it comes to political decisions, but does enjoy having a good time. Since he has been Earth King for a number of years Onao has a hard time splitting up work from leisure so he can be seen as a very strict all the time. Onao yearns for an escape from the stress from being the earth king, he longs for traveling and exploring the world. Seeing the many nations he learned about as a boy. He lets his duties as king overcome his dreams of traveling, and decides to bury himself in work instead of seeing the world.

Personal Weaknesses: Longs for a chance to explore, not good at war strategy, can be too strict, unpersuasive in political ideals and debates, and can be very hardheaded at times
Personal Hero: Dara for his love of knowledge and since the spirit was his teacher. The past Earth Kings for what they have done for him in precedents and helping make the Earth Kingdom what it is today.
Dreams and Ambitions: Dreams of traveling the world and seeing the places he has read so much about. Keeping his nation’s economy at a stable level and to continue this time of peace during his reign, even though he fears a war will break out at anytime.

Dislikes: Being stuck in the palace, wars, decline of his nation’s economy and trust in him, his stern character getting in the way of persuasion from his advisers, and nations or people who lack culture and realization how important history really is.

Onao was born on a hot day in the summer to Yann and Di Peng, refugees from Ba Sing Se, in the town at the foot of Dara’s Library. The town has been a place of intertwining cultures and people because it is so close to the library where many people flock to for knowledge. Onao was able to meet and befriend different people from around the world, but the friendships never seemed to last because they would leave. When Onao was nine years old and at the annual festival where Dara makes a presentation at the village, the spirit noticed the young boy and saw something special in him. After the festivities a man was sent from the library who convinced Onao’s parents to let the boy study at the library. There the spirit took Onao under his wing and taught him as much as possible from topics like economics to history of the world.

Onao spent the next eight years of his life as a pupil to Dara in the library. There he spent every waking moment studying and serving people in the library. He knows it back and forth and would go back to work there any day. One day Earth Kingdom officials came to the library and he pointed them to Dara, figuring they were looking for the spirit, but instead they said they were looking for him. He was confused and then at first thought they were joking. They then started to tell him the reason they fled from Ba Sing Se. The reason his family fled from the city was because his Great Uncle, Earth King Li, was killing anyone related to the Peng family to start his own dynasty. Onau was shocked and actually spent the next few months not believing them until his parents told him the same story.

After the story settled in they gave him the chance of becoming the next Earth King. He was nervous and saw himself as unfit for the part, but with some influence by Dara he agreed to the offer and was escorted back to Ba Sing Se to begin his training. Since he was not a noble Onau was taught the proper mannerism and dress, how to speak to others, and even eating habits. After those lessons he spent the next five years learning the duties of the king and how his life would be as king. He spent his time in the library studying how Lu I, Akio, and Lu II ruled things as king until he was twenty-two and seen as able to take the throne. In the spring of his twenty second year Onao was crowned king and the Peng Dynasty has taken the throne once more. There was an official direct descendant of Lu I on the throne and the Earth Kingdom was at peace once more.

The day after the festivities and feasts he was quickly taken up in kingly affairs and given documents to read and sign off on. He heard testaments from others nations with offers of trade and alliance and heard the stories from peasants needing food or troops to protect from bandits. The next four years of his life he will continue to grow as a king and leader of the Earth Kingdom. For someone who started as a poor boy studying in a library to becoming the king of an entire nation Onao was able to make a great change in his life. He sees this change as good and bad because of the fact he is the king, but also is stuck inside the palace walls. He has been finding himself longing to leave the palace and explore the world, but gives in to his kingly duties and does work instead. Onao is trying to attempt to keep peace amongst the other nations because he fears some sort of war may break out any time soon.
