Karasu was struck by the fire ball as her halo of water was destroyed by the lightning and hit the ground. She had taken a lot of damage and her body was racked with pain, but nonetheless she stood up. Ready to keep going. She recreated the Halo of Water and went in for another attack. "Ten Edicts of Enlightenment! Second Edict! Discovery of the Footprints: A Path to Follow!" cried Karasu, ready to strike again with her Ten Edicts Technique. This time, the 10 tentacles reformed, and two of them shot towards the opponent from her back. Two large pieces of ice instead of one, and as the second edict stated, they went on a direct path, a path to follow.

Ren almost didn't see the attack. she realized that the only way to defend was to bend. she gathered her and swept her arm from bottom left to upper right, creating a firewall. once she new the attack was dissipated she reversed her sweep throwing the wall at the waterbender.

Karasu's attack was again, stopped, but this time by a wall of fire. Her opponent sent the wall towards her afterwards, but Karasu was quick. She didn't get to be a member of the Order of the elements from being slow. Jumping into the air, Karasu dodged the wall of fire. Karasu rose the water from both pools on either side of the pit and turned the water at her feet into temporary ice to run across the stadium. Karasu jumped from the wave of water and landed behind her opponent. As she landed she did a spin and this time, sent three frozen, sharpened, tentacles of ice at her opponent detaching them as they flew towards her, the next level of her technique. "Third Edict! Perceiving the Bull: But only the Rear!" cried Karasu.
