| So here's my question. When you swing something really fast and you get that "swish" sound, it's supposed to be because (and this is me paraphrasing) the air is pushed out of the way, creating tiny wisps of air. My question is if you put small holes into something, would you get the same effect? Would smaller holes cause a higher pitched frequency?
Yay for random questions! : P

| I'm only going to bump this subject once. If after that I don't get any replies, I'll just take the topic to Yahoo questions or something (I can't find my answers via google unfortunately).
((Kuzai, if the bump or subject is a problem, just give me the usual heads up))

| Yes. Have you ever done this with a wiffle ball? The little balls with holes in them? Testing that will get your answer. =P

| Whoo, awesome reply :] Thanks Phantom! Next question. Melding metal with minerals. Possible? Yes/no? Would it weaken the metal considerably, or would using the right minerals maintain the durability? | |

| Well I don't think this can be answered properly because metals are basically minerals. They're like metal alloys which are minerals made up of different metal combinations in one mineral....if that makes any sense at all. >.> | |

| It made sense, let me rephrase the question (my fault). If you were to say mix sturdy gems (like say jade, ruby, and diamond), would it be able to mix well with the metal? Or would melding metal to gems just come out as some jumbled mess of different materials? | |

| It would turn into a mess if minerals I have learned this by melting Jewelery onto a steel bat. (Don't ask where and how all I have to say is don't leave jewelry and a blow torch lying around.)

| Er, well there you have it, ladies and gentleman. I think a first hand experience answer is probably the best I could've hoped for o.o Thanks for the help (I'm not really sure I want to know) | |
