There are also runes inscribed on the edge of each of the sheaths. One is teiwaz which represents duty, discipline, responsibility, self-sacrifice, conflict, strength, a wound, physicality, and the warrior path. It looks like an arrow pointing upwards. The other is kenaz which represents wisdom, insight, solution to a problem, creativity, inspiration, and enlightenment. It looks like the less than sign.
Special Abilities: The runes on the swords are said to have a magical use. The first one is for protection, victory, strength, strengthening the will, and healing a wound whereas the other one is for for creative inspiration, aid in study, fertility, and dispelling anxiety and fear. Mai sometimes doubts that they really work, though.
Origin/History: They were passed down from her father. She knows that he had used them when he was a solider for the Earth Kingdom. She does not know, however where he got them from.
