Kuro fiddled rubbed his hand around Gillan's ears as he rode up to Makaru's uncle's diner. One of the only things he'd shown physical affection to in fact. Of course, it was easier to do that with an animal. They just didn't have the same likelihood of betraying you as people did. Ironically, he realized that applied to him as well.
He walked into the diner and looked around, he knew Sato came here, plenty did. It was odd to think that Kuro knew he was the leader of Bloodgarde, and that technically, if Sato chose, he could make vast changes. But he didn't, nor did anyone really know that it was Sato. That was one thing that Kuro had to be impressed with, that Sato not only somehow got in his position, but kept it secret. He shook his head at the thought before walking up to order a steak and pulling out what was needed to pay for it while checking again to see if Sato, or anyone he knew for that matter, was present.
He hadn't let it be known that he'd betrayed them of course. Nor did he think he really wanted to. If they figured it out, fine, but he had his reasons. Bloodgarde had so much potential which just wasn't worked with, Kuro saw that as failure, so he rejected it. It wasn't what he wished it was. Still, individually, the people he didn't reject. Merely bloodgarde itself. He hadn't betrayed Sato's identity as their leader, and thus far, had no intention of doing so. That would be betraying more then needed, and betray trust. Which was something he despised people did.
