2nd Tenkaichi Bending-kai Lightweight Division ~ Quarter-Final Rounds ~ Match 1 ~ Kouzai vs. Niya

“Hello folks, and welcome to the first annual Tenkaichi Bending-Kai Lightweight Quarter Finals!  We are about to begin our First Match!” The announcer said into his microphone, the noise blasting over the roaring crowd. The battle would take place in a circular Ba Sing Se arena, which had pools of water around the edges. Tricks and traps were riddled everywhere through this arena, to be activated by Mr. Showbiz's will.

“Today, we'll be witnessing the fierce battle between Izanagi Ezofuji-no-Tsukuyomi and Kamui Leihing. The gates will open on my mark. With the combatants set, and the battlefield ready for them, let's give them a warm welcome!  Now before we begin, let's remind our fighters that they'll each have 100HP and will roll a random number of 30 instead of 20 for the Lightweight Matches.  Attack and Defence stay the same, at 10. Izanagi will have the honour of the first strike! Now, without further ado...”

Izanagi examined his surroundings as he exited the gate. He had fought here just last week, and now her returned fighting the opponent his cousin had fought with and won against in the preliminaries. Ziio Aurushi, a Water Tribe girl who never spoke and apparently favoured mid-to-close range attacks. Izanagi would use what he had learned to his advantage, but for now he had first strike. What move to choose? It needed to be flashy enough to perhaps unsettle Ziio, but not too big that it would exhaust Izanagi so early on in the fight. He needed something in the middle, something intermediate. The Shooting Star was a good choice.

Placing his palms an inch apart at his hips, Izanagi created a small ball of flame. The ball slowly grew, little by little, forcing his palms apart until it was a foot and a half across. Izanagi then lunged forward, and forced his hands towards his opponent. The ball of white fire shot at Ziio, aiming right for her. Right before it hit Ziio it expanded, engulfing the area around Ziio in an explosion of white flames. There, that was enough of a statement. Ziio could now either dodge or be hit. Those were the only options. Izanagi had done what he wanted, and for him that was enough.
